Training mode for ST?

Is there any way to get some kinda cheat for infinite health and time for P2, just to make a punching bag so I can practice some moves?

Not if you're using ggpofba.exe
Cheats are disabled altogether. If you want to use the Infinite health and timer cheats, then I would suggest using a build of MAME with a cheat.dat or the non-GGPO version of Final Burn Alpha.

The mame cheat is not good.

If you turn on infinite health, the dummy doesn't respond as natural as there is no cheat on and it's hard to practice cross up etc (since the dummy respond in a different way).

I have ST in PS2 but I dont have a good stick to play in PS2. The training mode in the PS2 version is good.

In old MAME versions you can change the "Delay" value of the infinite energy cheat to make it work correctly.

Yep. You could use Cheat Engine:

What version of the cheat file has this delay property?

Anyway, I found another way to practice.

If you have sf AE on ps2 or ssf2st on Dreamcast, and your computer is decently fast, you can use emulator to run those disks (pcsx2 and nulldc)

One good thing about the training mode is that you can tell the dummy to block all or block after the first hit, which isn't possible in mame.

I wish there's a way to record input for the dummy to execute like sf4 so we can practice reversal offline as well.......

If anyone has a neat idea how to practice reversal timing, I'm all ears!

It's not the cheat file, it's the MAME version itself.

As for reversals, use a save state.

its pretty simple, use MAME, and select a 2nd player character, TURN INFINITE TIME ON, practice your combos x-ups whatever, and when 2p's health is low press tab and turn infinite energy ON then OFF again, this will put his health back to 100%, rinse and repeat, hope that helps, thats how iv been doing it these past few days :)

edit: i use mame32 with cheat.zip, also you have to scroll down a lot to get to player 2's cheats, where you'll find infinite energy (the only one you need)
